The fourth grade, Mills Pond Cares Club sponsored a walk-a-thon to raise money for a children's hospital in El Salvador. The children ran 10 laps and raised over$3500. The money raised will be used to create an interactive waiting room for the patients. This club has also built a playground, bought medical equipment and helped build a canopy in year's past, using the same project. The fourth graders also have an annual "boot camp" to raise money for charities such as the Make-a-Wish Foundation as well as childhood diabetes.
