About:
This was our 3rd annual Swish Away Cancer Game.
This game was started to honor the memory of our JV Coach, Mark Chase, who passed away from cancer in December of 2020.
This year, we decided to include Darren Ross and the Ross family. Darren has been battling Glioblastoma for 3 and half years. He has had 5 brain surgeries and countless rounds of chemotherapy and radiation. Roswell Park, DENT Neurology, and UBNS have all been key players in his fight against Brain Cancer.
It is our hope that by hosting this Swish Away Cancer game, we bring awareness to all types of cancer and the impact it has on family and friends.
All money raised will be donated back to the community food banks represented by both Salamanca and Ellicottville. In addition to donating to the food banks, we hope to make donations to Cattaraugus County’s Meals on Wheels and Roswell Cancer Institute.
