The FDR Varisty Club, organized the “Presidents Wear Pink” week fundraiser to support the Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation from Oct. 6th to Oct. 11th 2025.
The Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation was established in 2004 to fund support services for people affected by breast cancer in the Hudson Valley. All funds raised in the Hudson Valley are used to support programs in the Hudson Valley.
The FDR Varsity Club reached out to the Fall FDR sports teams, who wore special pink uniforms, baked and donated treats, and raised funds to support the foundation. The club had an ambitious goal of $2,000, but with the support of the FDR community we went beyond our goal reaching $2272.00 in just one week.
The athletes organized bake sales, sold breast cancer awareness items, handed out informational facts, and met lots of community members to hear their stories. We look forward to this becoming an annual event for FDR and supporting other local charities.
