The Fillmore Central Football team visited our Local Veterans Nursing home to spend some time with residents and watched film, shared stories and help decorate for fall.
A special Friday visit from the Fillmore Central Falcons!
The hometown team — the undefeated, 7-0 Fillmore Central Falcons — made a meaningful stop at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Preston, a place where they’re often cheered on from afar on Fridays.
This time, the Falcons joined Veteran Residents to watch game film, share stories and help add some festive fall décor around the Home.
Many players were surprised to see their own art tiles proudly displayed on the wall — creations from their 4th, 5th, and 6th grade years, made before the Home even opened. A touching reminder of the lasting bond between the team and this Veteran community.
These young athletes wear their uniforms with pride — symbols of teamwork, dedication, and representing something greater than themselves. Just like the Veterans they came to honor.
A day that brought generations together through teamwork, pride, and shared respect.
