About:
Our Sachem Food pantry serves the entire district of over 11,000 students. We provide supplemental groceries weekly to families in need, as well as acute situations, so we go through A LOT of food! In October over a 2 day period the Interact Service Club students took a bus to all 15 schools in the district collecting food donations for an all hands on deck effort by the schools in the Sachem. We were greeted by cheerleaders, band and orchestra members, athletes, mascots and so many wonderful students and teachers that chipped in to feed the hungry in our community. It was an amazing team effort by the students, teachers and administrators for a cause that is near and dear. The impact was tremendous!
