About:
Jayda Levine used her passion for figure skating (she’s been skating for 14 years, both solo and on a synchronized skating team) to create “ASD on Ice,” a project aimed at providing therapeutic skating experiences for children on the autism spectrum. Inspired by her mother’s work as a speech therapist, Jayda partnered with Eden II Programs and organized a skating event at Port Washington Skating Center, ensuring a safe environment and raising over $3,000 through a GoFundMe campaign to make it free for participants and to raise money for future field trips at Eden II. Through “ASD on Ice,” Jayda not only provides a unique opportunity, but raises awareness about the challenges faced by children with special needs.
