The Mercy College athletic department took part in the annual Mercy College Veterans Day Run, which was hosted by the Veterans of Mercy. The Two-Mile run took place on the Old Croton Aqueduct and was open to students, faculty, staff, and veterans or residence of the surrounding rivertowns. The run was led by the President of the Veterans of Mercy, Sergeant Lucas Scimia and faculty student advisor for the Veterans of Mercy, Colonel Glenn Marchi.
Athletic Director Matt Kilcullen Jr. and members of the Mercy College athletics department, along with student-athletes from every single team joined Sgt. Scimia and Col. Marchi in the run. President Tim Hall, Chief Student Affairs Officer Dr. William Martinov and other Mercy College dignitaries were in attendance. President Hall, Dr. Martinov, and the veterans made opening remarks before the run and presided over the start.
The East Coast Conference Champion women’s soccer team was in attendance just three days after raising the trophy at the Mavericks field on Friday.
