About:

The WHB Golden Canes, the school’s childhood cancer awareness club, teamed up with the girls volleyball teams to raise awareness of childhood cancer in their community in their “Digging for Gold” event.  The Varsity and Junior Varsity Girls Volleyball teams wore customized shirts and decorated the gym with gold balloons and posters to raise awareness of childhood cancer.  A bake sale at the event raised $500 for MSK Kids, the pediatric cancer unit at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital.

Today the Golden Canes continue to raise awareness as they fundraise for a fellow student who is battling cancer. #Kidshelpingkidsfightcancer
