About:
The East Hampton Girls Volleyball program continues to make an incredible impact both on and off the court, bringing back the Dig Pink Fundraiser to support The Side-Out Foundation for the fourth consecutive year. Since reviving the event, the team has exceeded its fundraising goal each season and this year was no exception.
Led by a group of athletes deeply connected to their community, the team rallied together to raise an impressive $22,400 in support of breast cancer research and awareness. One player alone raised more than $12,000, helping to make this the program’s most successful Dig Pink event yet.
The night before the game, players gathered to bake treats and prepare items for sale at their Dig Pink match, turning the effort into a true team-bonding experience. Donations poured in from friends, family, and community members, highlighting the close-knit spirit of East Hampton.
Coach and players alike shared that the cause holds personal meaning for many on the team. Each athlete dedicated her game to someone who has fought, won, or been remembered in the battle against breast cancer.
At the start of the game, the team proudly recognized the top five fundraisers across both squads, celebrating not only their hard work but also their shared commitment to making a difference.
Through teamwork, compassion, and dedication, the East Hampton Volleyball program continues to show that when athletes unite for a cause, their impact reaches far beyond the court.
