About:

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Nov. 23, 2013) – For the second-consecutive weekend, Head Coach John Jez (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.) and the LIU Post men’s lacrosse team organized a play day for children with special needs. The event was held at the Pratt Recreation Center on the LIU Post campus.

Ten players, led by junior Dan Jeannotte (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.), hosted five youths with down syndrome on Sunday, and played a game of kickball and tag.

The afternoon was concluded by the offering of tee-shirts, and autographed Pioneers’ lacrosse posters.

LIU Post kicks off its 2014 campaign on Feb. 15 in Charlotte, N.C. at Queens. The opening faceoff is set for 2 p.m.
