About:
This year the Lynbrook Football Team played a Benefit Game entitled the Cure for Cancer Benefit Game. All money raised went to 2 young girls in the community who are fighting cancer: 6th grader with Medulla Blastoma and a 4-year-old with children’s Leukemia. Both girls were awarded special edition game jerseys and players helped raise money and receive candy donations in order to set up Trick or Treat Stations around the field for the children in the community and our two youngest heroes to have a safe trick-or-treat. The Football team raised $5k that went directly to the families to help them in any way possible. Commissioner of Nassau County Police, Pat Ryder, came to present the girls with these jerseys, escort them out on to the field, and do the ceremonial coin toss.
