About:

15 Mercy College student-athletes took part in the 2nd Annual Dobbs Ferry Holiday Hustle 5K on Sunday. The race was hosted by the Dobbs Ferry Youth Services Council and started on the Mercy College campus at 9:30 am.

The race concluded at 10:30 am at the intersection of Broadway and Cedar Street in downtown Dobbs Ferry. All the proceeds from the event benefitted the annual holiday gift drive for families in need.

The Mercy College student athletes helped with all aspects of running the event, including set-up, breakdown and management of certain areas along the race. The course consisted of holiday decorations and festive music, while participants were encouraged to dress in costume for the event.

The Dobbs Ferry Youth Services Council consists of Dobbs Ferry community leaders and students from Dobbs Ferry High School, The Masters School and Mercy College. The Youth Services Council’s mission is to improve the quality of life of the Dobbs Ferry youths, identify and address needs, provide leadership, and to enable adults and young people to work together.
