About:
My name is Sarah Cahill and I am a 20 year old college student majoring in Psychology at Stony Brook University. I am the Founder & Program Director of the MoRE Hope for Johnathon. A program inspired by my brothers winning battle against pediatric cancer. The KiDS NEED MoRE Hope for Johnathon Program is focused on enhancing the lives of children, families, and young adults coping with cancer or life threatening illnesses.
Our mission is fulfilled by:
-personalized gift baskets (welcome to the program!)
-year round parties
-home visits, hospital visits, & therapy dog visits
-special events at local hospitals & their supporting facilities
Currently, we have over 300 children enrolled in our program and that number is growing. Anyone can hand a child a gift and bring a smile to their face but sharing a laugh or a memory is even better. I am a strong believer in using our natural gift of time to help these heroes and their families.
Highlighted in our video is dancer, Kathryn Bjorklund, who has been dancing her whole life. She currently preforms at a dance studio in NYC. She volunteers an estimated 5 hours per week (a total of 250 hours to be estimated by the end of the year) with the MoRE Hope for Johnathon Program to help bring happiness to children with cancer and other illness. We are happy to have her on our team, along with many MoRE athletes.
