About:
The Oceanside High School and Middle School cheerleading teams brought breast cancer awareness to our community this October. Our initiative, “In October, We Wear Pink,” raised $545 which we donated to the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. Each weekend at our games, the girls wore pink to promote the event and sold pink bracelets during time outs and halftime. All proceeds from the games were donated to the Making Strides of Long Island walk.
