“Spike Away Stigma” Spikeball Tournament

Smithtown West DECA senior officers and student-athletes Ashlynn Renkowski and Isabella Paliwoda proudly hosted the “Spike Away Stigma” Spikeball Tournament recently as part of their Community Awareness project.  Before the games began, Ashlynn and Isabella addressed all participants and volunteers, sharing the mission of the organization Morgan’s Message and emphasizing the importance of breaking the stigma surrounding student-athlete mental health.  With over 70 students participating, the event brought not only friendly competition, but also meaningful awareness to a cause that impacts so many individuals.
