About:

BAYVILLE, N.Y. (Mar. 25, 2014) – The LIU Post women’s lacrosse team braved the cold weather Monday to put on a clinic for the Bayville/Locust Valley PAL League at Centre Island Beach Turf Field in Bayville, N.Y.

“Working the clinic with the Bayville/Locust Valley lacrosse program was a great experience for us,” said Assistant Women’s Lacrosse Coach Alyssa Kildare (Farmingdale, N.Y.). “We love giving back to the Long Island lacrosse community, and helping to grow the game. We are so thankful for this opportunity and really enjoyed doing it too!”

Members of the Pioneers’ women’s lacrosse squad, coaches and athletes alike, mentored young girls from grades two-through-eight. They taught them fundamentals, basic skills and game play.

LIU Post continues its search for a third-consecutive NCAA Division II National Championship on Thursday (Mar. 27) at Assumption in Worcester, Mass. The opening draw is scheduled for 4 p.m.
