Ithaca the Little Red Readers program

The Little Red Readers program enters its 2nd year and we are excited about our new books and readers.  This year we will have a reader every other week.  Given that, we have 18 scholar-athletes participating in the program.  The hope this year was to supplement the virtual readings with in-person opportunities for connection, but at the moment,  we will have to just stick to the virtual readings.  We do anticipate branching out from the asynchronous reading to a more synchronous set up by having our athletes engage with different elementary classes via zoom as a follow up to the bi-weekly readings.

We had a whole group meeting before we kicked off the year with readers and I would guess each reader spends and hour or two on their reading.
