On October 15th, Saint John’s Prep Soccer faced off against Xaverian in a crucial Catholic Conference match, but this game held even greater significance. The team dedicated the match to raising breast cancer awareness as part of their Play for Pink initiative, supporting Runway for Recovery, a foundation that aids families affected by breast cancer.
The 4 PM kickoff at Glatz Field united fans and players not just for a competitive game, but to promote a meaningful cause. Kudos to both teams for using sports as a platform for positive change.
For the past three years, SJP and Xaverian have partnered with Runway for Recovery for this event. Together, the teams have raised over $23,000 for the charity, highlighting a successful collaboration with a fantastic organization!
