About:
September is National Suicide Prevention Month, and the Tri-County Regional Varsity Volleyball Team stepped up in a big way to show support, spread hope, and spark conversation around mental health.
The team decorated sidewalks with bright, colorful chalk messages, each one carrying a reminder that you matter, you’re not alone, and there’s always help and hope. These simple yet powerful words created an uplifting atmosphere for students, staff, and community members walking by.
By taking part in this effort, the team not only raised awareness but also reminded everyone that mental health is just as important as physical health. Their messages encouraged peers to speak up, reach out, and lean on one another for support.
This project shows how even small acts—like writing words of encouragement—can make a meaningful difference in someone’s day.
Together, the Tri-County Regional Volleyball Team is proving that when we lift each other up, we can help break the stigma around mental health and remind others that no one has to struggle alone.
