About:
The Valley Central Volleyball team brought heart and purpose to the court during their Dig Pink Game, raising awareness for breast cancer and honoring those impacted by the disease.
Players, coaches, and fans filled the gym in a sea of pink, uniting to show their support for survivors, fighters, and families affected by breast cancer. The event encouraged everyone in attendance to participate by wearing pink and standing together in solidarity, creating an atmosphere filled with compassion and community spirit.
Valley Central hosted a special home match against Minisink Valley, turning the evening into a Pink Out celebration of strength and hope. Both the JV and Varsity teams contributed baked goods that were sold for $1 each, with all proceeds directed toward breast cancer awareness and research.
This meaningful fundraiser was held in honor of Sharon Delmonico, an incredible athletic trainer and beloved member of the Valley Central community, who tragically lost her life to breast cancer.
Through events like this, Valley Central Volleyball continues to demonstrate the power of student-athletes to inspire change, build community, and make a difference both on and off the court.
