About:
The Warroad Volleyball team teamed up with Badger/Greenbush-Middle River Schools for their annual Breast Cancer Awareness Game, continuing a beloved tradition that unites players, families, and the community in the fight against cancer.
Each year, the event features a free-will offering meal, and this year’s crowd favorite was a potato bar, served up with plenty of community spirit. The gym was glowing in pink as the Warroad players wore pink headbands, socks, and gear, while the cheer squad and fans joined in by dressing up to show their support.
A special shout-out goes to Jessie Anthony, a former volleyball mom who led the charge in organizing this year’s event. Thanks to her leadership and the generosity of everyone who participated, the event raised close to $3,000 for the Roseau County Cancer Fund, supporting local families affected by cancer.
The annual game is more than just volleyball—it’s a celebration of community, compassion, and the power of coming together to make a difference.
