About:
The Amityville Cheerleading Team showcased the true spirit of giving and community pride this October, coming together to make a meaningful impact during their annual Pink Out Game and Breast Cancer Walk events.
During the Pink Out Game, the team launched their creative “Lifts for Lives” initiative — performing a cheer stunt for every donation received in support of The Pink Fund, an organization that provides financial assistance to women undergoing breast cancer treatment. Each lift symbolized not only athletic strength but also unity and support for those fighting the disease. Through their energy, enthusiasm, and teamwork, the cheerleaders raised awareness and funds to help women and families in need.
Beyond game day, the team continued their outreach by participating in the community’s Breast Cancer Walk, an event hosted by the local teachers’ union that concluded with a festive Trunk or Treat celebration. The cheerleaders greeted participants as they arrived, offering smiles, encouragement, and pink ribbons to spread hope and positivity throughout the event.
Their participation in both efforts demonstrated the power of service through school spirit — blending compassion, leadership, and community connection. By using their platform to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer support, the Amityville Cheerleaders proved that even small acts of kindness can lift up an entire community.
Adding to their impactful month, the team also hosted a Jump for Judes fundraiser at their home opener game, raising over $130 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
