About:
Each year, the Suffolk County Gymnastics Coaches Association hosts its annual Coaches Invitational meet — a special event for gymnasts who do not qualify for the state meet. Open to all varsity teams across the county, this invitational has become much more than just a competition. It’s a powerful tradition of giving back, as all 20 Suffolk County varsity gymnastics teams come together to raise funds for a meaningful cause. This year, the athletes and coaches have chosen to support the Wounded Warrior Project, honoring and assisting veterans who have sacrificed so much for our country. Gymnasts will take to the floor dressed in red, white, and blue, rallying together in both spirit and service. All proceeds from donations, concession sales, and 50/50 raffles will be directed to the Wounded Warrior Project. In previous years, the event has raised between $3,000 and $5,000 annually for various causes, including support for the Wisconsin families who lost a child in a car crash and the families of the Farmingdale marching band. These efforts reflect the compassion, unity, and leadership that define Suffolk County’s gymnastics community.
