This summer, the Fairport Red Raider Baseball program once again stepped up to serve their community by volunteering at the annual Fairport Music Festival, an event that raises funds for the Golisano Children’s Hospital.
Players, coaches, and parents came together to help with festival setup and operations, lending their time and energy to support a cause that directly benefits children and families in need. High school athletes in grades 10–12 spent the morning preparing the event space, demonstrating teamwork and community spirit off the field.
Volunteers were provided with event T-shirts and wristbands as a token of appreciation for their efforts, but the true reward came from knowing their service helped make a difference.
The Red Raider Baseball program continues to show that being part of a team means more than just playing the game — it’s about giving back, building connections, and using every opportunity to support the community they proudly represent.
