About:
The volleyball program continues to lead with purpose, using its platform to uplift the community and shine a light on causes that matter. This season, the team hosted its annual Spike Out Cancer game — a night dedicated to honoring survivors, supporting fighters, and remembering loved ones lost far too soon.
The gym was filled with heart and energy as players, coaches, families, and community members came together around a shared mission. From themed decorations to heartfelt tributes, every detail reflected the team’s commitment to making a positive impact both on and off the court.
This year, they added another layer of awareness and support by hosting Mental Health Night alongside the cancer-awareness matchup. Fans were encouraged to show solidarity by wearing purple, creating a powerful visual reminder that mental health matters and that no one should ever struggle alone.
The combined effort highlighted the strength, compassion, and leadership within the volleyball program. By bringing attention to both cancer awareness and mental health, the team is truly demonstrating what service through sport looks like.
