About:
The Amityville Memorial High School Interact Club took part in a powerful and meaningful tribute to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Peace Pole, a symbol recognized around the world as a reminder of unity, harmony, and the hope for peace.
During the ceremony, students added a heartfelt touch by hand-painting stones, each one carrying its own message of compassion, connection, and positivity. These stones were carefully placed around the Peace Pole, creating a beautiful display that reflects both the spirit of the milestone and the values of the Amityville school community.
This project not only honored a global symbol of peace but also encouraged students to think deeply about their role in fostering understanding and unity within their school and beyond.
Amityville is proud of the Interact Club for their creativity, leadership, and dedication to spreading peace—one stone at a time.
