We are proud to share a heartwarming story of generosity and compassion from the PAL Jr. Islanders Gold hockey team, who play out of the LI Sports Hub in Syosset. This holiday season, the team went above and beyond by adopting several local families through a community Toy Drive, helping bring joy and comfort to those in need.
The student-athletes embraced the opportunity to give back, showing genuine excitement and care as they worked together to share the Christmas spirit. Their enthusiasm and kindness made a meaningful impact, reminding everyone that the true power of sports extends far beyond the rink.
A special thank you goes to hockey mom Amanda Lamberti for organizing and leading this wonderful initiative. Her dedication helped turn this project into a memorable experience for both the families who received support and the athletes who gave so generously.
We are incredibly proud of these young athletes and grateful for their commitment to service. Their efforts are a powerful example of teamwork, empathy, and the spirit of the season in action.
