About:
The Reading Rockets Hockey program brought the community together on January 3rd for a memorable Pink the Rink Night at Burbank Ice Arena, skating in support of cancer awareness.
The evening kicked off with the girls’ team taking the ice at 6:00 PM, setting the tone for a meaningful night of hockey played for a powerful cause. Following their game, the girls stayed to cheer on the boys’ team as they faced Belmont at 7:45 PM, creating an electric atmosphere in the stands.
Fans filled the rink dressed in pink, bringing energy, noise, and heartfelt support to honor those impacted by cancer—a disease that has touched so many families within the community. From the first puck drop to the final buzzer, the night was a reminder of how sports can unite people around something bigger than the game.
Pink the Rink Night was a true success, showcasing the Rockets’ commitment to community, awareness, and standing together for a cause that affects us all.
