The Abington High School Boys Basketball program opened its season on December 12 with a meaningful community initiative, partnering with the school’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and Project 351 to host a Toy Drive during the home opener.
Fans were encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to the game, turning the night into an opportunity to give back while cheering on the team. Student-athletes and SAAC members played an active role in promoting the drive, collecting donations, and helping ensure the event’s success.
All donated toys benefited the Patriots Foundation, supporting children and families in need throughout the community. The initiative showcased how athletics can serve as a powerful platform for leadership, service, and collaboration.
