About:
For the EP Eagles basketball program, success isn’t measured only by wins and losses—it’s defined by character, connection, and community. Recently, Varsity and JV Eagles student-athletes stepped off the court and into a powerful service experience by volunteering with an Adaptive Basketball program, proving that their impact extends far beyond game day.
Working alongside adaptive athletes, the Eagles brought energy, encouragement, and enthusiasm to the gym. What unfolded was more than a volunteer opportunity—it was a shared experience filled with laughter, learning, and mutual respect. Student-athletes embraced the chance to connect, support, and celebrate the abilities of every participant, reinforcing the idea that sports are for everyone.
The experience highlighted the value of inclusion and empathy, while also strengthening the Eagles’ own sense of purpose as teammates and leaders. By giving their time and engaging fully, the players demonstrated that leadership is about showing up, building relationships, and putting community first.
Through efforts like this, EP Eagles Boys Basketball continues to model what education-based athletics are all about—using sport as a platform to serve others, foster inclusion, and make a meaningful difference.
