The Raptors Hockey program showed that leadership extends beyond the rink, as student-athletes from both the girls’ and boys’ teams spent time giving back at Middleton Elementary in celebration of I Love to Read Month.
During the visit, players read to younger students, shared their love of books, and helped create a fun, welcoming environment that encouraged literacy and learning. The interaction allowed elementary students to connect with high school role models, while Raptors athletes experienced firsthand the impact of leading through service.
By taking time to support reading and education, AD Raptors Hockey reinforced the idea that small moments can make a big difference. Initiatives like this highlight the power of student-athletes to inspire younger students, strengthen school connections, and serve their community with heart.
