An initiative spearheaded by the school’s second graders helped Frank J. Carasiti Elementary School students to collect more than 800 food items this winter during the school’s annual “Soup’er Bowl” food drive.
The donations will support local food pantries, including Trinity and AGAPE, and help provide food to families in need throughout the community. Students also surpassed last year’s total, exceeding their goal and demonstrating a strong commitment to service and giving back. The Rocky Point School District thanks the students and families who contributed to the success of the food drive and helped make a positive impact across the community.
“Every year, we look forward to the generosity shown by our students and families. The teamwork reflects the strong sense of community we are proud to foster in the Rocky Point School District,” said Assistant Principal James Williams. “We are incredibly proud of our second graders for making such a positive impact and taking ownership of the collection!”
The district extends its sincere appreciation to all students and families who contributed to the success of the food drive and helped make a difference for neighbors in need.
