About:
Concord-Carlisle Boys Hockey is bringing the community together through a meaningful clothing drive in partnership with Cradles to Crayons and the Boston Bruins PJ Drive, focused on providing comfort and care to children in need.
From February 1 through February 23, the Patriots ran a pajama drive with a clear goal: to purchase new pairs of pajamas for children living in low-income or homeless situations. New pajamas—along with socks and underwear—are essential items that help provide warmth, dignity, and a sense of normalcy for kids facing difficult circumstances.
To maximize participation, the team actively promoted awareness throughout the community. Student-athletes posted flyers around town and throughout the school, encouraging classmates, families, and community members to get involved and support the cause. Donations were made through an online wishlist and QR code system, allowing supporters to directly purchase items that would be delivered to Cradles to Crayons for distribution.
As the drive entered its final stretch, Concord-Carlisle Boys Hockey made a strong push to reach its goal—demonstrating how student-athletes can lead with purpose beyond competition. The initiative reflected the values of education-based athletics, showing that teamwork, leadership, and compassion extend well beyond the ice.
By partnering with Cradles to Crayons and the Boston Bruins, and by mobilizing their school and local community, Concord-Carlisle Boys Hockey showed that small acts of generosity can create a lasting impact for children who need it most.
