About:
Big Lake Football proved that teamwork extends far beyond the field.
On February 28, 60 players, managers, coaches, and family members gave up their Saturday to serve others — and the impact was extraordinary. Together, the group packed 52,920 meals, providing enough food to feed 145 children in Cuba for an entire year.
That kind of commitment speaks volumes about the culture within the program.
This was more than just a service event. It was a hands-on lesson in leadership, gratitude, and global awareness. By involving not only athletes but also managers, coaches, and family members, Big Lake Football demonstrated that service is a shared responsibility — and a shared opportunity.
The scale of the impact is impressive. Nearly 53,000 meals packed in a single day requires focus, teamwork, and dedication — the very same qualities that drive success on the football field.
Most importantly, the team embraced the experience with enthusiasm. Service projects like this build perspective and unity, reminding student-athletes that their influence can reach far beyond their local community.
Big Lake Football continues to set the standard for what it means to represent your school with pride — leading with heart, working together, and making a meaningful difference.
