The South Side High School Cyclones Challenger Basketball Team recently enjoyed a memorable afternoon on the court, teaming up with Long Beach High School for a special day of basketball, sportsmanship, and inclusion.
The event brought together Challenger athletes, student-athletes, and coaches for an uplifting experience that celebrated teamwork and the joy of the game. Playing side-by-side, the athletes created an environment filled with encouragement, excitement, and community spirit.
A special thank you to the Long Beach student-athletes and coaches, whose support and participation made the day so meaningful for everyone involved. Their willingness to share the court and cheer on their fellow athletes highlighted the powerful role sports can play in bringing people together.
Programs like Challenger basketball help create opportunities for athletes of all abilities to compete, build friendships, and experience the positive impact of being part of a team.
For the Cyclones, it truly was a great day to be a Cyclone, as the event showcased the values of inclusion, leadership, and community that define South Side athletics.
