About:
Students and community members in the Plainedge Union Free School District recently came together to support an important cause as the Plainedge High School Key Club hosted a blood drive in the high school gymnasium.
Organized in partnership with the Plainedge PTA, the event brought together students, staff, and community members who volunteered their time and donated blood to help support lifesaving medical needs.
Blood drives play a critical role in helping hospitals maintain the supply needed to care for patients facing surgeries, medical treatments, and emergencies. Through their efforts, the students of the Key Club demonstrated how service and leadership can have a direct and meaningful impact on others.
The success of the drive was made possible thanks to the many volunteers, donors, and supporters who stepped forward to participate. Their willingness to give back reflects the strong sense of community that defines Plainedge High School.
By organizing initiatives like this, Plainedge students continue to show how young leaders can make a difference while encouraging others to support causes that save lives.
