About:
Students and staff from Farmingdale High School recently hosted a memorable evening for younger students during the 5th Grade Green and White Night, a special event designed to welcome the next generation of Dalers.
The event brought together fifth-grade students from across the district for a fun and engaging night that introduced them to the spirit and traditions of the Farmingdale school community. Participating students came from Saltzman East Memorial Elementary School, Albany Avenue Elementary School, and Northside Elementary School.
With the help of student volunteers and teachers, the evening featured a variety of fun and competitive activities that encouraged teamwork, participation, and school spirit.
Members of the Varsity Leaders group played an important role in the event’s success. The high school student leaders helped guide the activities, encouraged the younger students to give their best effort, and ensured everyone felt welcomed and included throughout the night.
Green and White Night gave fifth graders an opportunity to build friendships, connect with peers from other elementary schools, and begin envisioning their future as part of the Farmingdale community.
Events like this highlight the power of mentorship and school pride, as older students step up to support and inspire the next generation of Dalers while creating a positive and exciting experience for students beginning their journey toward Farmingdale High School.
