About:
In February, Members of the Lansingburgh Knights football program recently continued a meaningful tradition of service by hosting their annual Super Bowl Party at A Child’s Place at Unity House, bringing smiles, energy, and excitement to the young children they spent time with.
During the visit, players interacted with the children through games, activities, and conversations centered around football and the excitement of Super Bowl season. The athletes helped create a fun and engaging environment, sharing their love of the game while building positive connections with the students.
For many of the children, the opportunity to spend time with the high school athletes made the day especially memorable. Players read with students, tossed footballs, and participated in group activities, reinforcing the importance of mentorship and community involvement.
The annual visit has become a special tradition for the Lansingburgh football program, reflecting the team’s commitment to leadership and service beyond the field. By returning each year, the Knights continue to strengthen their relationship with Unity House and demonstrate how student-athletes can make a lasting impact through simple acts of kindness and engagement.
Initiatives like the Super Bowl Party highlight the powerful role athletes can play as role models for younger students. Through their dedication to community service, the Lansingburgh Knights are helping build a culture of generosity, connection, and pride throughout the Lansingburgh community.
The event once again proved that the Knights’ influence extends far beyond game day — embodying the spirit of teamwork, compassion, and the proud tradition of “Da Burgh.”
