About:
Students recently came together in a meaningful show of compassion and community spirit as the Respect For Life club hosted a donation drive to benefit the Jeremiah Program, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing critical resources and programming for single mothers and their families in the Twin Cities.
Held on Wednesday, March 11, the initiative encouraged schoolwide participation by inviting students to donate at least one dollar in support of the cause. As part of the event, students who contributed were given the opportunity to dress out of uniform in purple or pink, creating a visible and unified display of support throughout the school.
The drive not only raised awareness about the challenges faced by single mothers working toward economic stability and educational advancement, but also empowered students to take an active role in helping strengthen their local community. Through thoughtful planning and leadership, members of the Respect For Life club created an accessible way for their peers to give back while fostering a culture of empathy and service.
Efforts like this highlight how student-led initiatives can make a real difference. By supporting organizations like the Jeremiah Program, students are demonstrating that even small acts of generosity can collectively create meaningful impact for families in need.
