About:
The CPHS Baseball program is proving that leadership and teamwork extend far beyond the baseball diamond. Following an intense first week of early morning 5:00 AM practices, members of the Rebels team dedicated their time and energy to meaningful community service efforts that made an immediate impact.
Student-athletes volunteered with Feed My Starving Children, where they worked together to pack 153 boxes of meals to support individuals and families facing food insecurity worldwide. The experience provided players with an opportunity to step outside their daily routines, collaborate for a larger purpose, and better understand the importance of service and global outreach.
In addition to their meal-packing efforts, the Rebels also hosted youth baseball clinics, creating a fun and encouraging environment for younger athletes in the community. Through skill instruction, mentorship, and positive interaction, CPHS players helped inspire the next generation while reinforcing the values of sportsmanship, leadership, and giving back.
Balancing demanding practices with community engagement demonstrates the team’s strong commitment to making a difference both on and off the field. Initiatives like these highlight how high school athletic programs can play a powerful role in fostering civic responsibility and strengthening community connections.
By starting their season with service, CPHS Baseball has set a meaningful tone for the months ahead — showing that success is not only measured in wins and losses but also in the positive impact student-athletes have on the lives of others.
