About:
tudent-athletes from Massapequa High School used their platform for a powerful purpose, dedicating their game against Long Beach to supporting mental health awareness through Morgan’s Message.
The special game day brought the community together not only for competition, but for a cause that continues to impact student-athletes nationwide. Through initiatives like a bake sale and 50/50 raffle, the team worked to raise awareness and support the mission of Morgan’s Message—an organization focused on eliminating the stigma surrounding mental health in athletics.
More than just a game, the event served as a reminder that mental health is just as important as physical health. By using their voices and visibility, the players helped foster a culture of openness, support, and understanding within their school community.
With a simple but powerful message—you are not alone—Massapequa’s student-athletes demonstrated how sports can be a platform for advocacy, connection, and meaningful change beyond the scoreboard.
