About:
At Blackstone Valley Tech, the Girls Lacrosse program is proving that the power of sport goes far beyond the field. Through student-led initiatives and meaningful partnerships, these athletes are making a lasting difference in their community—raising awareness, funds, and hope for causes close to their hearts.
Leading the charge are standout student-athletes Zoe Bouvier and Brooke Grabau, whose dedication and leadership have inspired an entire program.
Zoe founded and spearheaded both Fight Like A Kid and HEADstrong, organizing impactful events that brought the community together while raising an impressive $910. Her vision and drive turned these initiatives into powerful platforms for awareness and support.
Alongside her, Brooke launched Morgan’s Message at BVT, helping to bring attention to student-athlete mental health. Through her leadership, the program has already hosted dedication games and is planning to expand these efforts across multiple spring sports.
Together, Zoe and Brooke have each dedicated 50+ hours to planning, organizing, and leading these initiatives—demonstrating an incredible commitment to service, leadership, and advocacy.
The impact has extended across the entire BVT Girls Lacrosse team, who played a key role in supporting both the Fight Like A Kid and HEADstrong games. Their collective effort showcases what’s possible when a team rallies around a shared purpose.
In addition, the program has partnered with Morgan’s Message to host dedication games, with plans to continue expanding these events throughout the spring season—amplifying awareness and strengthening community connections.
From fundraising to advocacy, and from planning to execution, these student-athletes are truly embodying what it means to lead through sport. Their work is not only supporting important causes but also creating a culture of compassion, leadership, and service within their school community.
With powerful moments captured from the Fight Like A Kid game and Track & Field dedication events, their story continues to inspire—and we look forward to sharing more as their impact grows.
Thank you to Coach Jenine and the entire BVT Girls Lacrosse program for your leadership and commitment to making a difference.
