About:
The Skaneateles Varsity Baseball team is taking the field for more than just a game—they’re stepping up to make a difference.
On April 21, the Lakers will face the Cortland Tigers at NBT Bank Stadium as part of the ALS Strikeout Classic, combining the excitement of high school baseball with a powerful mission to support ALS research.
The event gives student-athletes a unique opportunity to compete in a premier venue while raising awareness and funds for an important cause. With a suggested donation of $5 for individuals and $10 for families, all proceeds from the evening will go directly toward advancing research in the fight against ALS.
Beyond the game itself, this event highlights the impact of education-based athletics—showing how student-athletes can use their platform to support meaningful causes and bring their communities together.
Fans, families, and supporters are encouraged to fill the stands, cheer on the Lakers, and stand united in the fight against ALS. It’s a night where every pitch, hit, and run represents something bigger than the scoreboard.
