About:
The Port Flag Football program continues to make a positive impact by creating opportunities for young athletes to learn, grow, and connect through sport.
This week, in partnership with PYA Sports, the team will host its 2nd PYA Girls Flag Football Clinic at Carrie Palmer Weber Middle School. The clinic is free and open to all girls in Kindergarten through 6th grade, reinforcing the program’s commitment to accessibility and inclusion.
Set to take place on the field inside the track, the clinic invites participants to come prepared with water, flags, and jerseys as they take part in a fun, active afternoon of skill-building and teamwork.
More than just a clinic, this initiative is about growing the game and empowering the next generation of female athletes. By providing a welcoming and supportive environment, Port Flag Football is helping young girls gain confidence, develop new skills, and build a love for the sport.
Programs like this highlight the power of community-based athletics—bringing together student-athletes, coaches, and local organizations to create meaningful experiences that extend far beyond the field.
With excitement building for Wednesday’s event, one thing is clear: the future of flag football in Port Washington is bright.
