About:
The Corning-Painted Post High School Youth Activation Club continues to lead with purpose, compassion, and powerful student leadership—making a meaningful impact through their latest initiative supporting Special Olympics New York.
This year, the Youth Activation Club (YAC) once again took part in the Polar Plunge, a signature event that brings communities together to support inclusive athletics. Braving icy waters and rallying support from peers, families, and the broader community, CPPHS students raised an incredible $15,500—a testament to their dedication and leadership.
The Youth Activation Committee model empowers students to become changemakers—promoting inclusion, respect, and acceptance for individuals of all abilities. Through events like the Polar Plunge, these student leaders are not only raising funds but also raising awareness and building a more inclusive school culture.
CPPHS has long been recognized for its commitment to inclusion, with its Youth Activation Club playing a key role in fostering Unified programs and community engagement. This latest effort further reinforces their impact—bringing students together around a shared mission and inspiring others to get involved.
Initiatives like this exemplify the true power of student-athlete leadership—where service, empathy, and action come together to create lasting change.
