The Saratoga Springs High School girls lacrosse team transformed heartbreak into action this season by continuing a powerful “LaCROSSe Out Cancer” initiative in honor of former student-athlete Olivia Allen.
Olivia, a 2023 graduate of Saratoga High School, was a standout field hockey and gymnastics athlete whose strength, optimism, bravery, and perseverance inspired everyone around her during her courageous battle with leukemia. Even throughout treatment, Olivia’s radiant smile and positive spirit continued to impact countless lives within the school community.
After Olivia’s passing, the team came together to find a meaningful way to channel their grief into something positive — something they believed Olivia herself would have wanted. The players decided to continue Liv’s fight against cancer by partnering with the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation and participating in the “LaCROSSe Out Cancer” campaign.
