The Mendon Girls Basketball community recently had the opportunity to celebrate an exciting milestone: the opening of the new Golisano Children’s Hospital Mobile Clinic.
Members of the program proudly represented Mendon Girls Basketball at the celebration, seeing firsthand how the support generated through the Rainbow Classic is helping make an impact beyond the basketball court.
Through the Rainbow Classic, the basketball community has played a role in supporting efforts to bring quality pediatric care directly to children and families throughout the region. The new mobile clinic will help extend that care into the community and reach families where they are.
For the Mendon Girls Basketball program, being part of the celebration was a meaningful reminder of what can happen when athletics and service come together for a greater purpose.
The impact of the Rainbow Classic reaches far beyond a game. It demonstrates how student-athletes, coaches, families, and community members can use sports as a platform to support important causes and create positive change for others.
