The Eastport-South Manor School District came together to remember the lives lost and honor all those forever impacted by the September 11th attacks.
Across the district, students and staff took time to reflect on the significance of the day and the extraordinary courage, sacrifice, and service demonstrated by first responders and countless others.
At Eastport-South Manor Junior-Senior High School, students participated in a special Memorial Stair Climb Challenge to commemorate September 11th. Through the challenge, students honored the first responders who courageously climbed the stairs of the World Trade Center towers to help others on that tragic day.
The activity provided students with a meaningful way to remember the victims, recognize the bravery of first responders, and carry forward the values of service, courage, unity, and compassion.
