The Horace Greeley High School community came together in a powerful display of remembrance and unity to commemorate the 25th anniversary of September 11th.
As part of the tribute, Greeley student-athletes helped unfurl a 60-foot American flag, creating a moving visual symbol of patriotism, remembrance, and respect.
The ceremony also featured music performed by students and staff, along with reflections from members of the school community honoring the lives lost and all those forever impacted by the events of September 11, 2001.
Horace Greeley High School Principal Sandra Sepe described the gathering as a moment when the community came together with “dignity, respect and heart.”
By taking an active role in the commemoration, Greeley’s student-athletes helped carry forward an important message to the next generation: remember those who were lost, honor those who served and sacrificed, and never forget. 🇺🇸
Through moments like these, athletics provides an opportunity for young people to demonstrate leadership, respect, and community spirit far beyond the playing field.
