For the Shrewsbury High School Football program, community service has become an important part of the team’s tradition.
Members of the Shrewsbury football team recently took part in one of their annual service activities, helping with the cleanup following the St. Mary’s Fair.
Even a little rain couldn’t stop the student-athletes from showing up and lending a hand. As the program shared, “We love the rain!”
By volunteering their time to help clean up after a community event, the players demonstrated that teamwork and leadership extend well beyond the football field. Projects like this give student-athletes an opportunity to support the organizations and community members who support them throughout the year.
We’re proud to highlight the Shrewsbury football program for continuing to make community service part of its team culture and for showing how student-athletes can make an impact through simple acts of service.
